<p>Monounsaturated fats, considered healthy fats, are found in canola oil, olive oil, and peanut oil. These fats are beneficial to your health as they help reduce bad cholesterol levels in your blood and lower your risk of heart disease and stroke. They also provide nutrients that help develop and maintain your body’s cells.</p>
<p>Polyunsaturated fats also have a positive effect on your health in reducing cholesterol levels and lowering heart disease risks. They include essential fats that your body needs but cannot produce on its own including omega3 fats as well as omega6. These essential fatty acids play a crucial role in brain function and in the normal growth and development of your body. Foods high in polyunsaturated fat include fatty fish, a number of vegetable oils, and some nuts and seeds.</p>

<p>If you don’t have heart disease, cardiovascular specialists recently stated in the Journal of American Cardiology that you should take a minimum of 500mg per day.  When you are comparing supplements, you have to be careful.</p>
<p>The front of the bottle will show the amount of fish oil in each capsule, but the amount of Docosahexaenoic acid and Eicosapentaenoic acid, as well as the total omega-3s will be listed in the nutrient facts on the back of the label.  The concentration of omega-3s in a gram of fish oil, the average amount found in most of the supplements on the market, will vary from 40-90%.  The amount of individual omega-3s will vary, as well.</p>
<p>How much EPA and DHA should you take if you have high blood triglycerides and/or imbalanced cholesterol?  In one study, 3600mg of DHA lower blood triglycerides by 26%.  3180mg of EPA lowered them by 21%.  A slight, but significant increase in “good” HDL cholesterol levels was seen in both groups, but was a little higher in the DHA group.</p>
<p>The study was not actually designed to come up with a recommended daily dosage for average individuals, but to see which of the two omega-3s was most effective at lowering blood triglycerides and increasing HDL levels.  Good results have been seen with lower daily doses.</p>
<p>How much EPA and DHA should you take if you have heart disease or have suffered a heart attack?   Recommendations vary from 800-3000mg per day.  No one should take a high dose, unless they are under a physician’s care.</p>
<p>Research has shown that 3000mg of fish oil or three daily capsules is safe.  It also appears to be safe to combine the use of the therapy with the use of aspirin and blood thinners.  But, that approach should only be taken under the direction of a healthcare practitioner.</p>
<p>How much EPA and DHA should you take if you are pregnant or nursing?  The developing brain must have an adequate DHA-intake.  For that reason, many doctors are recommended a daily supplement or 500-1000mg per day.</p>

<p>The average dietary supplement contains 1000mg of natural triglycerides, concentrated esters or both.  Of that 1000mg of fat, some is omega-3.  Some is omega-6 and some is omega-9.  The actual breakdown varies.  Although they are not required to, the better manufacturers break down the fat content, so that people can better plan their daily menus.</p>
<p>Heart specialists say that no more than 20-30% of your daily caloric intake should come from fats, of any kind.  There is no doubt that omega-3 fats are the healthiest ones to choose.  Researchers found years ago that native Inuit tribes with high intakes of omega-3s had practically no heart disease.</p>
<p>Actually, if your question is how much fish oil should I take for any health problem, the answer is two to three capsules.  You should take no more than three grams per day, unless your condition is being monitored by a physician.</p>
<p>While the health benefits of supplementation are numerous, there is a possible risk associated with high doses.  That risk is increased bleeding.</p>
<p>In at least one documented case, a woman taking aspirin, warfarin (a blood thinner) and a high daily dosage of omega-3 fatty acids developed a bleed in her brain that was believed to be associated with the drug combination.  All three of those things thin the blood.  That is the main reason they are beneficial.</p>
<p>They prevent clotting in the bloodstream.  Clots cause strokes and heart attacks, but clots form when we are cut or a blood vessel bursts, too.  So, we need some clotting.  Otherwise, we could bleed to death from a minor cut.</p>
<p>So, how much fish oil should I take to prevent heart disease and reduce the risk of heart attack, without chancing the risk of increased bleeding?  Research has shown that 3 grams or 3000mg per day and is not accompanied by any increased bleeding risk.</p>

<p>I have taken courses of medication that were supposed to &#8220;cure&#8221; me. However in the end you realize that the only long term solution is watching your diet. </p>
<p>It also helps taking natural supplements that help your body to prevent the accumulation of the uric acid that cause the formation of the crystals in your joins and the painful inflammation. For me that this been taking concentrated fish oil which is rich in essential fatty acids or Omega3 fatty acids.</p>

<p>4. I eat at least two to three portions of low fat dairy every day. This is in the form of low fat milk and yoghurt with fruit or cereal.</p>
<p>5. I take a vitamin capsule and two concentrated fish oil capsules every day. I find that when I stop the vitamin capsule because I have forgotten to buy them I feel tired. When I stop the fish oil capsule, again because I have forgotten to buy them, I start to feel the twinges in my toe, knee and heels that indicate a gout attack is imminent.</p>
<p>I believe from reading about gout that the fish oil has the following effects:</p>
<p>It has anti inflammatory effects, building up anti inflammatory prostaglandins which are a class of powerful hormones. In other words the fish oil is naturally relieving the possible inflammation from the accumulation of uric acid and build up of crystals in the joints.</p>
<p>I enjoy my food but I watch what I eat and I have been able to control my gout and enjoy life without the fear of waking up at two AM or having to hobble around the house being crabby to the family. This incision is less concealed than periareolar and associated with less difficulty than the periareolar incision site when breast feeding. An incision placed in the arm pit is also known as a Trans-Axillary incision. Despite the myth that this scar is usually unnoticeable, it can be more prominent than other scars, especially when a woman is wearing sleeveless cloths. This access point is very far from the central location of the implant making it very difficult to precisely position the implants, thus causing the implants to sit away from each other, creating a wide cleavage.
